Herb Butter

My husband loves butter and believes it makes everything taste better. He loves it on bread, pasta, vegetables, and pretty much anything I serve for dinner. Other than baking, I tend to reach for the olive oil for all of my cooking needs. Though sometimes I love a great compound butter as a complement to steaks, fish, and even perfectly steamed green beans. Recently I made a batch of popovers and decided to make some Herb Butter slather on top. I used good quality butter, added garlic, and a mixture of fresh tarragon, chives, and parsley. The butter was so delicious that I started to understand why Brad loves it so much.

Ingredients for Herb Butter:

8 ounces salted butter, room temperature

2 tablespoons chopped parsley

1 tablespoon chopped tarragon

1 tablespoon chopped chives

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/8 teaspoon kosher salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Time-Saving Tip: Prepare the butter in advance and keep refrigerated.

Let's see what we need.

We're ready to cook.

Combine all of the ingredients and stir until well combined. Let the flavors meld together for at least an hour. The butter is best when served room temperature.

It's ready! Herb Butter is so delicious and flavor that you will be thinking of ways to incorporate it into all of your meals. Maybe my husband is on to something, and butter does make everything better.
