Sauteed Shishito Peppers


I love snacks that are delicious and good for you. These Sauteed Shishito Peppers and are incredibly satisfying and are a real show stopper. The peppers are simply cooked in a cast-iron skillet until lightly charred. I like to sprinkle them with salt and give a few squirts of lemon. They're perfect any day of the week and ideal to nibble on while having a cocktail.


Ingredients Sauteed Shishito Peppers:


3/4 pound shishito peppers, cleaned and dried

3 teaspoons olive oil

kosher salt or coarse sea salt

lemon wedges for serving


Time-Saving Tip: Clean and dry the peppers hours before cooking.

Heat the oil in a cast-iron skillet. When hot, add the peppers and saute for about 5-8 minutes. Stay by the pan and gently turn the peppers cook until portions of the peppers are lightly charred. Transfer the peppers to a platter, sprinkle with salt, and serve with lemon wedges.
