Updated: Aug 13, 2021

When the weather is steamy - I love a fruity summer dessert with a crumbly topping. So I created Easy Cherry-Peach Crumble. I took a few delicious shortcuts and reached for frozen fruit and my favorite vanilla cake mix from Miss Jones Baking Co. for the topping. With just little mixing, my cobbler was ready to go. This was so easy to prepare and totally scrumptious!

Ingredients for Easy Cherry-Peach Crumble:

1 box Miss Jones Baking Company Vanilla Cake mix

2 pounds frozen peaches

2 pounds frozen cherries

1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature

dash nutmeg

3 tablespoons flour

2 tablespoons raw sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

2 teaspoons lemon juice

2 teaspoons cinnamon, divided

scooking spray

Time-Saving Tip: Prepare the topping up to a few hours prior to baking.

Let's see what we need.

We're ready to bake.

Add the cake mix, butter, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, in a medium-sized bowl. Using a hand mixer, beat until well combined and crumbly.

Drain the fruit and then combine them with flour, sugar, lemon juice, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

Transfer the fruit mixture to the baking dish. Top with the crumble and spread evenly on top. Coat the topping with cooking spray. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven until golden. This will take 30-40 minutes. Let cool a little before serving.

It's ready! Easy Cherry-Peach Crumble is the perfect summer dessert. I like to serve it warm with lots of vanilla ice cream. This simple version with frozen fruit makes it perfect to make all year long.
