It's All In The Dressing...

Sometimes all I want is a simple salad. But that doesn't mean I want it to taste boring. While the freshness of the ingredients always matters, in this case, it's the dressing that is the star of the show. An unexpected combination of flavors...celery seed, mustard, onions, and more are blended to perfection. The dressing will keep for days in the refrigerator and is equally delicious on a bed of greens as it is on a mound of fresh tomatoes or smeared on your favorite sandwich. I promise this will become a new favorite. You're welcome!

Ingredients for It's All In The Dressing:

1 cup grapeseed oil

2 whole dates, pits removed

1/4 cup distilled vinegar

2 tablespoon grated onion

1 teaspoon celery seed

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Time-Saving Tip: The dressing can be made in advance and kept in the refrigerator.

Let's see what we need.

We're ready to make the dressing.

Put all of the ingredients except for the oil in a food processor or a blender. Process until pretty smooth. Continue processing while slowly adding the oil. The dressing is ready once it is emulsified.

It's ready! I love it on a simple salad of crisp greens, cucumbers, and tomatoes. It's incredibly delicious and versatile. I promise if you serve this to your company everyone will ask for the recipe.

Enjoy!
