Healthy Green Food Coloring

While I may not be Irish, I do enjoy green food just as much as the next person. I decided to make homemade green food coloring. It is so easy to do. Wait until you see the ingredients and see just how easy this is to do. Oh, and be on the lookout this week because I will be preparing some food using it.

Ingredients for Healthy Green Food Coloring:

1 10 -ounce box of frozen chopped spinach, defrosted

7 tablespoons of water

You will also need a blender. I have a Vitamix and love it. Click HERE for more information on my Vitamix.

Time-Saving Tip: Make this now, and you can use it all week. It keeps well in the refrigerator.

Let's see what we need.

We're ready to cook.

Just take the spinach out of the freezer first thing in the morning to defrost. As you can see, mine still has a few ice crystals. It doesn't matter. Now pour the spinach and the water into the blender and give it a whirl until smooth.

Take a look at this quick video.

It's ready! Healthy Green Food Coloring has to be one of the easiest recipes I have ever shared with everyone. The best part of this isn't just the great color, but it's healthy. People will have no idea what is making your food green. The spinach doesn't impart any flavor to the food.

Enjoy!
