Best Onion Dip Ever...and Healthy!


It's nearly impossible to stop eating this dip. Of course, it is awesome with potato chips but it is equally as delicious on veggies, crackers, wraps, and whatever else you might think of as an excuse to eat this. Greek yogurt and onions sauteed in a little bit of olive oil make this dip unbelievably healthy. Tasting is believing. It is hands down the Best Onion Dip Ever!


Ingredients for Best Onion Dip Ever:


2 cups finely diced onion

2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons olive oil

2 - 7- ounce containers of Greek yogurt, I used 2 %

3/4 light mayonnaise

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/8 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/8 teaspoon hot sauce



Time-Saving Tips: The onions can be diced in advance. The dip can be made in advance and will keep well for days in the refrigerator. Just give it a stir when ready to use.

We're ready to cook.


Add the oil, onions, salt, and pepper to the pan. Saute over low-medium heat until the onions have caramelized. This will take about 20 minutes. Once they are cooked turn off the heat and stir in the Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Transfer the onions to a plate to cool completely.


Whisk the mayonnaise and yogurt together until smooth. Add the cooled onion mixture and combine.
