Easy Air Fryer Cheeseburgers

Thanks to my obsession with my air fryer and my younger son's obsession with burgers, I was inspired to make the most delicious Easy Air Fryer Cheeseburgers. All I did was season ground beef with salt and pepper and pop them into the fryer. A few minutes later and a few slices of cheese and everyone was happy! And I love how easy these were to prepare and no mess! Add your favorite toppings, and you'll be so happy.

Ingredients for Easy Air Fryer Cheeseburgers:

8 burgers

2 pounds ground beef, divided into 8 portions

kosher salt

black pepper

8 slices American Cheese

lettuce

2-3 tomatoes, sliced

1 large red onion, sliced

hamburger pickles

mayonnaise, I used Harissa Mayonnaise, so it had a kick to it

Time-Saving Tip: Shape burgers in advance and keep them in the refrigerator until ready to cook.

Let's see what we need.

We're ready to cook.

Divide the meat into 8 equal portions. I like to divide the meat into loosely shaped meatballs because it is easier to "eye" them equal-sized. I then flatten them into burgers. Ideally, flatten the burger slightly larger than the bun because the burger will shrink as it cooks. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Transfer the burgers to a preheated 375-degree air fryer. Cook for 4 minutes and then gently turn over and cook for another 4 minutes. You might have to adjust the time depending on the size of the burgers. Mine were about 4 inches in diameter.

Once cooked, transfer them to a plate and immediately top each with a slice of cheese. The residual heat melts the cheese. To help it along, you can tent a little foil on top of the burgers for a minute.

Now we're ready to build the burger. I like to spread some harissa mayo on the bottom half of the bun. I then top it with a piece of lettuce, burger, tomato, salt and pepper, pickle, a slice of onion, and then the top of the bun.

They're ready! Easy Air Fryer Cheeseburgers and so easy to prepare and so juicy. We love them and can't wait to make them again.
