Healthiest Baked Flounder with Lemon and Garlic

My favorite way to enjoy fish when prepared is with fresh and healthy ingredients. So Healthiest Baked Flounder with Lemon and Garlic is perfect for me. I seasoned the flounder with a bit of melted butter, olive oil, lemon, and garlic. Once cooked, it's sprinkled with some lemon zest and fresh parsley. It's that easy and delicious! And did I mention that this speedy meal also happens to be a healthy one! Happy Fish Friday, everyone.

Ingredients for Healthiest Baked Flounder with Lemon and Garlic:

2 pounds flounder, dried

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons lemon juice

zest of 1 lemon

1 lemon, sliced thin

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 cloves monced gsarlic

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 chopped fresh parsley

Time-Saving Tip: Prepare the side dishes because the fish cooks quickly.

Let's see what we need.

We're ready to cook.

Place the butter in a small bowl and melt in the microwave for a few seconds. Add the oil, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, and season with salt and pepper.

Place the fish and lemon slices on a sheet pan and brush with the butter mixture. Transfer the fish to a preheated 425-degree oven. Bake until done. The fish will flake when moved with a fork. The flounder will take about 8-12 minutes to cook, depending on the thickness of the fish.

Sorry, horrible recipe. Way too much liquid & the cooking time was off. I baked 3 THIN fillets & had to put them back in the oven for 10 more minutes. Too much garlic, too much lemon. I'll make them my own way from now on.

Hi Julie…this recipe is for two pounds of fish so it sounds like the three thin fillets would likely require less of everything. Was the fish frozen? If so, if not dried it might release liquid. Best, Valerie
